Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 from 1937 to January 19th, 2008) was an American film, theatre television, and voice actress. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and appeared in films in the 1950s and later. She was later featured in notable films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). She also appeared in numerous TV productions, mostly in guest roles. She she played Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978, receiving several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on the 31st of January in 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish who were the children of immigrants from Russia or Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was stage manager for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
