Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd started her combat sports training at the age of 14. After training in kickboxing boxing BJJ and wrestling she was able to make her debut as an amateur against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was 18 years old. Ladd was able to build on her victory and then went on to a three-fight win streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents inside the first round in each fight. She then returned to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia outclassed Aspen and prevailed over her with a unanimity to create a blemish on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd bounced back from the defeat, beating Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to increase her record to 8-1. Aspen turned professional in 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and was able to dominate her in the first round to win a TKO. Invicta Fc 16 marked her debut fight as a Bantamweight. She defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar submission in the 2nd round. Aspen took on McGill by wrestling her to the ground and ended her fight in the third round by TKO. Aspen had to face Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy using an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd had not made weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy to the point that she finished her with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she defeated her opponent in her final bout with the promotion in a unanimous verdict. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She defeated Lina with a ground and pound victory during 2nd round. The dominance of her continued, and she was able to win a thrilling fight when she fought Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd defeated Evinger with a punch during the first round. She also earned a Performance of the Night bonus. Sijara Eubanks, a member of Invicta FC, was her opponent for an rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's first major match. The two fighters had one of the most competitive fights that Ladd won by unanimous decision. Both fighters were awarded the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd within just 16 seconds, which was enough ending her win streak. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya in the third round in the UFC which was broadcast on ESPN 7. As a replacement, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The decision was made unanimously against her.
